Iconic fish and chips chain comes to Old Compton Street

One of London’s most popular chains is opening its third outpost this summer – bringing traditional fare back to Soho.

Poppies has been serving London ‘fish and chips’ since the 1950s and are now set to open in Old Compton Street with a batter-full menu. This third instalment follows the success of their two other locations in Camden and Spitalfields.

The menu has all your classic favourites too – haddock, crispy chips, battered and classic sausages, fishcakes, saveloy, mushy peas and jellied eels.  The fish is sourced fresh every day from Billingsgate Market.

The restaurant also boasts a very vintage aesthetic, with its decor taking queues from the energy of Soho throughout the decades – replete with 1950s jukeboxes and 1970s Formica wallpaper.

Poppies is @ 55-59 Old Compton St
